Did you remember when is the last time you read this when you’re playing Castleville: “OH NO! Looks like a beastie has your kingdom locked down!“? We bet if you’re an active player, in the last 24 hours, you have read this message from a beastie locking down your items. Well, now it’s our turn to lock them down!
In this guide we will help you to lock those gloom beasties away, so that you can do things in your kingdom with no more trouble from them (unless you need them for quest).

You should realize by now that you can get beasties in Castleville with gloom potions. You can craft the gloom potions or buy them with heart / reputation points. Of course, buying the gloom potions with heart points is the best way.

Now, In this Facebook Game, there are a max beastie limit rule depending on your level. So if you know what’s the maximum beastie limit, you can summon the beasties using the gloom potions in some place where there’s no important item, for example:

When you reach the maximum beastie limit, there will be a notification like this:

Now that you have locked the beasties, you can do any actions in your kingdom hassle free
, since you have reach the maximum beastie limit, the beasties won’t show up. There is 1 exception though, when you explore a new area. Some new areas already have a rule that when you explored it, it will always contain beastie, for example, like when you explore the Alistair’s area, or Sonja treasure chest’s area. But this won’t be a much problem though, since those beasties only blocked items in the new areas.
We have tried this method for 2 days, and so far no new beasties showing up. That’s great when you don’t need to beat the beastie for your quest. If you ever need a beastie for a quest though (and you will), then you need to banish the beastie that you have locked. It’s up to you whether you want to lock the beasties away / not.. your game, your choice
.
Before we forget, here’s the maximum beasties limit table by level:

Note: If you have 6 max beastie and 4 max Gloom rats, then you need to summon 2 other beastie to reach the max beasties limit, if not, the beastie will still showing up (except for gloom rats).
Tips: For this method, we recommend you to always use Gloom rat potion first, since it only costs 5 hearts, and you can banish gloom rats easily with 3 clicks / 1 wood club.
great information but how do you summon a rat or any beastie to a specific location?
Hi Vicki, just use the gloom rat potion, and the rat will appear on the place where your character is standing.
very nice information. thank you
THANK YOU!
Beasties were driving me *CRAZY*… Using your suggestion, I’ve now got 4 rats penned over near the useless gift-a-pult & Holiday tree, so now I can harvest and collect without problems, and when I finally feel the need to try once again to finish that unachievable level of the “A Fairy’s Tale” quest (the one requiring you to collect 15 gloom rat tails) I have a place to summon them for vanquishing.
This was INORDINATELY USEFUL!
Not so impossible… You can ask for rat tails from one of the quests in the Gift Shop… you have to use them all up first, then go to the gift which requires rat tails and click on the “ask” button.
Use that useless gift shop to ask for the rat tails…….be sure you haven’t used up all your request because once you have the 3 required to build the toy you won’t be able to ask again.
how can i kill the beastie when it is invisible? i’ve looked for it but to no avail… help me iam an active player i love this game now i already forgot my farmville bec of this…. thank you
Actually you should be able to spot the sword icon eventhough it’s invisible, click the sword icon and you’ll be able to kill the beastie
OMG…I was going crazy until I found this site. I wasted probably 10 summoning potions trying to summon rats for tails and the gloom goblin for Raphael’s quest. Thanks to this site, I realized that since I built my water-locked farm plots with my character inside, I couldn’t summon anything to me. Now that I’ve moved my character outside, and to my beastie safe-keeping pen *which I built probably 2 weeks ago*, it’s easy-going. Seriously, this site is a hair-saver – without it I’d probably be bald from pulling my hair out…
Thankyou so much for this information.
I have lost 4 rat potions until i found this post.
